Year 4 to 5 Programs

Sample

Programs for Year 4 and 5 students typically range from one to four days. They can include the following activities:

  • Low ropes, exploratory walks into creeks and gullies.
  • Aquatic activities such as swimming, raft building and canoeing.
  • Pioneering activities can be used to allow these younger students to develop group work skills by using poles and ropes to build structures.

During the programs students could also spend some time in the library and the art room working on a school project. This might involve outside observations, sketches and collecting samples to be examined in the integrated studies centre.

Meeting Needs

Maroon OEC designs and implements programs to meet the specific needs of your students. A sequence of activities is developed to suit the physical and emotional level of the students. Activities are adapted and implemented to best address the program outcomes.
